Flourishing means shaping spaces where knowledge flows and action follows.
We’re launching a new co-produced toolkit that makes commissioning fairer, strengthens long-term partnerships, and helps create the biggest positive impact for communities.
Drawing on five years of research and case studies from across the UK, the toolkit highlights how place-based, collaborative and non-extractive approaches to commissioning can contribute to resilient creative eco-systems that are inclusive, vibrant and economically sustainable. More importantly, it includes practical advice and realistic recommendations for shaping productive relationships between policy makers and creative practitioners.
As funding shifts from grants to contracts, this toolkit reimagines commissioning in the creative and cultural sector, offering insights, data, and recommendations to support practitioners and shape stronger cultural policy.
